أعلنت المحاربة والفنانة الأيرلندية تريسي كونولي عن إصدار أغنيتها الجديدة “لبنان”، التي تستعيد فيها تجربتها خلال مهمة قوات الأمم المتحدة في جنوب لبنان إبّان حرب 1996 (عناقيد الغضب). وتروي كونولي—التي خدمت وهي في الحادية والعشرين—ليالي الملاجئ وما شاهدته من معاناة المدنيين، مؤكدةً: “ذهبتُ لأجلب السلام، لكن الحرب تسلب الناس بيوتهم ومياههم وعائلاتهم… تركتُ جزءًا منّي في لبنان.”

تقدّم الأغنية تحيّة لصلابة اللبنانيين ورسالة أمل وسلام، وتكرّم جميع حفظة السلام الأيرلنديين. تصدر 15 آب/أغسطس 2025 على المنصات الموسيقية، بينها iTunes.

Irish Veteran and Artist Tracy Connolly Releases New Song “Lebanon” Honoring Peacekeeping Experience

Cork, Ireland – Irish Army veteran, singer-songwriter, and poet Tracy Connolly has announced the release of her latest song “Lebanon”, a moving reflection on her service with the United Nations peacekeeping mission in South Lebanon during the 1996 war (Operation Grapes of Wrath).

At only 21 years old, Connolly served under the UN’s blue beret, spending countless nights in bunkers and witnessing first-hand the suffering of civilians caught in the conflict. “I went to bring peace,” she recalls, “but war strips people of their homes, their water, their families… I left a part of myself in Lebanon.”

The song is both a tribute to the resilience of the Lebanese people and a message of hope and peace, while also honoring all Irish peacekeepers who have served abroad.

“Lebanon” will be officially released on August 15, 2025, and will be available across major music platforms, including iTunes.
