يُعاني الأهالي في محافظة السويداء جنوبي سوريا، من نقص حاد في مياه الشرب، الأمر الذي يزيد من الأعباء الاقتصادية عليهم.
وقال مراسل 'حلب اليوم' في السويداء، اليوم الاثنين، إن سعر نقلة المياه وصل إلى 180 ألف ليرة سورية، ما دفع أهالي حي مساكن الخضر لاحتجاز صهريج تابع لمؤسسة المياه، وذلك احتجاجاً على شح المياه.

وفي السياق، تعرضت لجنة الضابطة المائية في الريف الغربي للسويداء لإطلاق نار، بعد محاولتها فك خطوط ري لمشروع زراعي كان مخالفاً، حيث برّرت المؤسسة ذلك بالفلتان الأمني والسرقات التي تتعرض لها الشبكات، حسبما صرّح مصدر في مديرية المياه لشبكة 'الراصد' المحلية.
وبات شح مياه الشرب يُشكّل خطراً حقيقياً على أهالي السويداء، إذ أصدر أهالي قرى الريف الجنوبي في المحافظة بياناً منذ شهر، لوحوا من خلاله بأن نقص المياه مقصود وهدفه تهجير السكان من القرى، وفقاً لمراسلنا.
