It appears that Israel has adopted a new tactic in its aggression against Gaza and southern Lebanon, namely the policy of assassinations. This was evident when an Israeli airstrike targeted a car in Jadra, north of Sidon city, deep in southern Lebanon, resulting in the killing of three people and injuring two others. A Palestinian security source confirmed the survival of a leader from Hamas, while indicating a failed assassination attempt on a senior leader within the movement.
The Israeli shelling did not cease on the southern Lebanese towns, hitting the outskirts of Khiam, Kounine, Markaba, Hanine, the outskirts of Rmeish, the outskirts of Shebaa, Marwahin, the outskirts of Jabal al-Butm towards Ramya, the outskirts of Ayta ash Shab, the outskirts of Tyre, Naqoura, Jbaa, and Labouneh.
In return, Hezbollah targeted the Brannite barracks and intercepted an Israeli drone of the 'Skylark' type, as well as targeting the Jal al-Alam site.
During his visit to Beirut, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian held a series of meetings, starting with Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, outgoing Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, and also met his Lebanese counterpart, Abdallah Bou Habib.

Furthermore, the director of Rafah investigations Ahmed Al-Yaqoubi, his deputy Ayman Al-Rantisi, and Ibrahim Shtat, head of the Supplies Investigations Department, were killed as their car was targeted in the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood west of Rafah city. Also, four displaced Palestinians in southern Gaza were killed in shelling at the Nasser Medical Complex west of Khan Yunis city.
Simultaneously, Hamas called on international and human rights organizations to document 'the crime committed by the Israeli army against the child Haneen Rajab,' considering this crime 'horrific and will remain in the Palestinian memory.'
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed the War Council of the completion date of the Israeli armys operation in Rafah, by the beginning of the next month of Ramadan, which corresponds to March 10th.
In the same context, Netanyahus three concerns prevent the cessation of the war:
Losing power, as he knows that the government coalition is likely to collapse on the eve of the ceasefire.
Imprisonment, as it is the most likely fate for him based on the movement and orientations of the opposition that will enter the government.
History, being a son of a historian and considering himself the third founding leader of Zionism in the region, he wants to emerge from the war as a national leader of Israel.
Regarding recent announcements that the Israeli army will expand its ground operation to Rafah, the Gaza governments media office warned of 'a global catastrophe and massacre that may leave tens of thousands dead and wounded if the Rafah governorate is invaded.' The Saudi Foreign Ministry also warned of the serious repercussions of invading and targeting Rafah city in the Gaza Strip, the last refuge for hundreds of thousands of civilians forced to flee due to the savage Israeli aggression, while the Palestinian Presidencys spokesman, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, believed that the Israeli enemys attack on Rafah and its attempt to displace Palestinian citizens do not absolve the US administration of responsibility.
In the same context, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned of the danger of the Israeli occupation army carrying out a military operation in Rafah city, while Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry warned of the severe consequences of any Israeli military operations expansion in southern Gaza.
Turning to developments in the Red Sea, the US Central Command announced that it had carried out strikes against two unmanned boats and four mobile anti-ship cruise missiles and a mobile ground attack cruise missile intended for launching against ships in the Red Sea.
On the Syrian front, the Syrian army announced that Syrian air defenses shot down Israeli missiles fired on the outskirts of Damascus in the early hours of today.
Internationally, two people were killed after a small plane attempted an emergency landing on Highway 75 in southwest Florida, colliding with a vehicle and causing traffic to halt.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock announced that an Israeli army attack on southern Gaza would be a humanitarian catastrophe, confirming her intention to visit Israel to discuss the issue of releasing hostages.
Additionally, the spokesperson for the Russian presidency, Dmitry Peskov, stated that the Kremlins website faces dozens of daily cyberattacks by hackers, but Russian specialists continuously ensure its protection.
