Crossing the border situation into the danger zone has reached a critical point, as it has become governed by unknown scenarios. This field situation has greatly disturbed Israelis, as Israeli Channel 13 quoted the head of the council of the village of Marjayoun on the Lebanese border as saying, 'The situation is unreasonable, and we cannot come and go as we please.'

While diplomatic channels are working to contain the escalation, information indicates the return of the American mediator Amos Hochstein to Lebanon and Israel. Hochstein emphasized the need to keep the conflict in southern Lebanon at the lowest possible level, stating that the widening of the war would not be in anyones interest, stressing the 'necessity of the return of residents of southern border towns and villages to their homes, as well as residents on the northern border of Israel.'

Politically, Saad Hariris visit to Lebanon is nearing its end. In a conversation with his visitors at the Beit Al-Wasat, Hariri pointed out that 'the Future Movement remained subdued during the past two years, but now we will intensify our work more, not in political matters, but we emphasize that any attempt to pressure those affiliated with the Future Movement inside and outside the country will not be tolerated at all.'

Regionally, Israel continues to bombard several areas in the Gaza Strip on the 134th day of the war.

Regarding the negotiations for the exchange of prisoners, while Hamas hinted at suspending them until aid and relief are provided to the northern Gaza Strip, amid reports expecting an Israeli delegation to visit Qatar next week to discuss a new exchange deal, Hamass political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh blamed Israel for the lack of progress in reaching a ceasefire agreement, stating that 'the occupation continues to maneuver and procrastinate in matters concerning our people while its position revolves around releasing prisoners held by the resistance.'

In this context, Haaretz quoted a minister in the security and political cabinet as saying, 'The Israeli armys need for a long-term ceasefire in Gaza is no less than Hamass need for it.'

The minister added that the ceasefire could be exploited to reach understandings with Cairo and Washington regarding Rafah.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated that 'we will continue the war until we achieve all our goals and eliminate Hamas.' He emphasized that 'military pressure on Hamas is the only way to recover the hostages, and Hamass demands are unacceptable, and accepting them means our defeat.'

While the Group of Seven expressed concern about the risk of forced displacement of Palestinian civilians from Gaza, several countries, including the United States, emphasized the importance of the two-state solution linked to ensuring Israels security.

On the Arab level, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stated that 'any comprehensive military operations in Gaza will have catastrophic humanitarian consequences. We do not intend to prepare any safe havens for civilians in Gaza.' He clarified that 'talk of building a wall on the border between Egypt and Gaza is just speculation, and we are only conducting maintenance operations.'

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan emphasized that the priority now must be to end the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. He said, 'We are convinced that the only way to stabilize the region is through establishing a Palestinian state.'

Meanwhile, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani revealed that 'there are still disagreements regarding the exchange agreement, and time is not on our side.' He said that 'there are difficulties on the humanitarian side in the negotiation process,' confirming that 'we expect a deal soon and we are doing our utmost to reach it. We have made progress in recent weeks on an agreement, but we have faced disagreements in recent days.'

He pointed out that 'if we manage to specify a humanitarian package in the agreement, we will be able to overcome the obstacles.'

Internationally, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reiterated Washingtons insistence on not supporting any operation in Rafah without a plan to ensure the safety of more than a million people.

On another front, the US Central Command announced that it successfully carried out two self-defense strikes in Yemen. There were no reported injuries or damages to the British carrier Bulwark or any ship in the Red Sea.

In Europe, the EUs foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, called on Israel not to engage in military action in Rafah, stating that any military action 'could exacerbate the already catastrophic humanitarian situation.'
