I met with Malaysia’s newly appointed Ambassador, Anwar bin Udzir, and we discussed the situation in southern Lebanon and the period following the end of UNIFIL’s mandate. I thanked him for the sacrifices made by Malaysian soldiers in their efforts to maintain peace in the South. We also discussed economic relations between the two countries and ways to develop them, particularly in the areas of trade and investment opportunities.
