Production Technician– Ref: APO Ad. 02/2025Location: Sfax
The purpose of the Production Technician role is the safe, reliable and optimal operations of APO facilities
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure full operation of plant and equipment in line with APO operating procedures and in compliance with APO Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies.
- Record all operations related to a dedicated area and ensure a comprehensive handover of ongoing operations and equipment status.
- Prepare and submit daily reports such as production reports, tracking registers, rate reduction reports…
- Ensure all work is performed under the Permit to work system.
- Prepare / adhere to, risk assessments and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) assessments.
- Carry out reviews and preparation of procedures for routine and non-routine activities.
- Perform Mechanical / Process isolation as required.
- Provision of purging, performing and recording atmospheric tests.
- Participate in firefighting and rescue duties to respond to site emergencies.
- Deliver the shift plan and steer/targets safely and timely for their unit, in addition to keeping unit operations safe.
- Provide clear and concise information in shifts is conducted in accordance with Ensure Safe Production requirements for situational awareness, proper follow-up and work planning.
Qualifications, Job knowledge, skill and experience
- Baccalaureate completed + Successful minimum two years in the university with technical background (Senior technician diploma, ISET or Equivalent) with minimum 5 years’ experience in gas plants, refineries or chemical or power plant operations
OR
- Baccalaureate completed or Professional recognized diploma BTP with a minimum 10 years’ experience in gas plants, refineries or chemical or power plant operations
- Distributed control system DCS experience preferred.
- Knowledge on Fluid mechanics, thermodynamic, rotary machines, physic laws, chemical laws.
- Good Computer skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English French & Arabic Languages
- Collaboration / Team working skills.
- High ethical standards with integrity.
Work Pattern
- 12-hour shifts on rotational pattern of days, nights, and weekends for onshore.
- The successful candidate may from time to time be required to take on a non-shift job.
Position: Operations Technician – Ref: APO Ad. 03/2025Location: Gabes
Gabes based, The Operations Technician reports to the senior operations Technician
- Monitor process operating parameters and ensure compliance with the operating procedures and in compliance with the company’s HSSE policies under the immediate direction of the Gabes Terminal Operations Superintendent.
- Initiate the most appropriate actions to ensure safe execution of operations in the terminal and in the port during the export phase
- Coordinate with the Senior Tech, the ADMIN officer, and the stakeholders to perform the LPG sales activities.
- Ensure that the first line maintenance activities are carried out and documented as part of the daily routines.
- Complete a comprehensive handover of ongoing operations and equipment status.
- Act as an emergency response team member in case of a site emergency and carry out the duties assigned in the emergency procedures.
- Contribute to minimizing any environmental impact during daily activities.
Qualifications, Job knowledge, skill and experience
Baccalaureate completed or Professional recognized diploma BTP with a minimum 10 years’ experience in gas plants, refineries or chemical or power plant operations
- Distributed control system DCS experience is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of process operations
- Familiarity with Fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, rotary machines, physics laws, chemical laws
- Good Computer skills, including excel, WORD and power point office
- Demonstrate teamwork behaviors in collaboration and coordination good communication skills (both written and verbal)

Position: Process Control Domain Engineer– Ref: APO Ad. 04/2025Location: Sfax
The position Reports to the Lead Control & Automation Engineer. Interfaces with various Engineering Disciplines, Operations, Maintenance, IT, and Turnaround teams. The process control domain engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the control systems that operate industrial processes.
Key Accountabilities & responsibility
- Assist the Lead Control & Automation Engineer in fulfilling duties and accountabilities
- Collaborate with the team to develop and review critical ICS documents and procedures
- Conduct routine maintenance activities for the Industrial Control Systems
- Ensure the reliability and integrity of ICS equipment and systems
- Manage allocated control & automation engineering projects in Hasdrubal and Miskar assets (onshore and offshore)
- Ensure project activities are completed safely, in compliance with design, on time, and within budget
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to meet project objectives
- Collaborate with Engineering Disciplines, Operations, and Maintenance teams for seamless project execution
- Interface with IT and Turnaround teams to align ICS activities with broader organizational objectives
- Ensuring the security of industrial control systems against cyber threats. This includes implementing security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure network architecture
- Providing training to operators and maintenance personnel on how to use and maintain industrial control systems safely and effectively
Required Educational Qualifications and Main Skills
- Engineering degree in Industrial IT/Network/Automation Engineering. or similar disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Industrial Control Systems, preferably in oil/gas, power, or petrochemical process industries
- Strong knowledge of industry standards related to the ICS domain
- Experience in managing control & automation engineering projects
- Familiarity with ICS maintenance practices and procedures
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English, French and Arabic Written and spoken
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision

Work Pattern
- Normal working hours from 08:30 to 17:00 hours Monday to Friday: 5/2 regime with additional support to be provided to cover any business need.
Position: Instrument Engineer– Ref: APO Ad. 05/2025Location: Sfax
The position Reports to the Lead Instrument Engineer. The Instrument Engineer is responsible to:
- Carry out Instrument discipline work within the engineering team, supporting design and execution of approved management of changes across Company facilities.
- Practice technical expertise along with Management and Supervision, including cost management.
- Develop engineering design scopes for instrumented systems.
- Prepare Instrument and Control deliverables for all project Phases
- Perform and coordinate engineering studies.
- Prepare/ coordinate instrument wiring diagram, loop diagrams, data sheets, MTO for flow lines hook up & production facilities.
- Conducts site surveys, makes sketches, and provides technical direction to the design team.
- Provide the needed support to Plant Operation team.
- Provide direction and guidance on all Instrument and Controls engineering technical queries raised by either internal or external parties
- Coordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up
- Assist in the coordination of all activities related to Instrument and Controls engineering design
- Prepare scope of work, cost estimates, budgets, and technical dossiers
- Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule and standard
- Lead the technical review of the bidder’s proposals and prepare technical evaluation accordingly.
- Initiate and Follow-up Procurement of instrumentation equipment
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity, trust and adherence to the Company HSSE requirements.
- Engineering degree of ‘Instrumentation/ Informatique Industrielle et Automatique/ Electromecanique/ Electronics/ Electrical’.
- 5 Years Experience in Instrumentation engineering in oil and gas, power, or petrochemical process industries
- Hands-on and in-depth knowledge of international standards and codes in instrumentation and control systems such as process measurements, control/ ESD valves, analysers, metering, F&G, equipment protection system (Vibration/temperature), Control and Safety systems.
- Good knowledge of Field Instrumentation, automated valve, process control automation system (DCS/PLC/SCADA), metering and F&G
- Offshore Experience
Position: Asset Integrity Engineer – Ref: APO Ad. 06/2025Location: Sfax
The position Reports to the Lead Asset Integrity Engineer. The Asset Integrity Engineer is responsible for implementation of Asset Integrity Management system of pressure equipment to ensure they are designed, constructed, and maintained to achieve the standards set by the Company asset integrity Manuals.
- Manage allocated Asset Integrity related engineering change modifications in Company installations both onshore and offshore to ensure they are designed and implemented as per Company Standards and procedures.
- Provide Asset Integrity and general engineering support to operations and maintenance teams with the objective to improve integrity, safety and operability of Company installations both onshore and offshore.
- Manage allocated Asset Integrity related in-house projects and ensure manpower and costs in allocated projects are achieved within budgets and schedule.
- Support the lead AI Engineer to monitor compliance of Company Operations and Engineering modifications with the Asset Integrity Management System AIMS including KPIs.
- Attend and contribute to HAZIDs, HAZOPs, SROs, SIL assessments as required.
- Ensure Integrity of the Pressure equipment are designed, built, operated, and maintained as per Company requirements, international Standards, and good Engineering practices.
- Take part of HSSE audits, incident investigations in Company facilities as required and enhance a safety culture within the workplace to ensure that all safety issues are reviewed and acted upon.
- Play proactive role in managing non-compliances and deviations to ensure risks are ALARP.
- Engineering Degree in Mechanical/Material engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Integrity engineering discipline within Oil & Gas upstream Sector; onshore/offshore, including minimum of 2 planned turnaround events.
- Practical knowledge in Pressure system related Integrity Technical Standards and Codes.
- Broad knowledge of standard advanced inspection techniques & methods.
- Clear understanding of Fitness For Service & Design principles for piping and vessels systems.
- Clear understanding of RBI
- Knowledge of Tunisian legislation relating to integrity of Pressure system.
- Practical inspection/integrity background including plant-based experience.
Position: Automation & Control Engineer – Ref: APO Ad. 07/2025Location: Sfax
The position Reports to the Lead Control & Automation Engineer.The position covers onshore and offshore facilities and has interfaces with other disciplines Engineering and Operations.
- Develop engineering design scopes: Define, specify, and carry out necessary technical studies to propose robust and optimized technical solutions.
- Maintain, follow, and ensure the implementation of Automation asset related key procedures, guidelines, and plans.
- Prepare scope of work, schedule, cost estimates, budgets, and technical dossiers
- Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule, budget and standards
- Carry out engineering investigations and to deliver small to medium-sized projects supporting Asset objectives.
- Ensure Compliance to the Management of change procedures for all modifications.
- Ensure the administration for Control and Safety Systems and related software.
- Assess and maintain the performance of existing alarm management system operational in accordance with industry standards
- Provide troubleshooting expertise in case of deficiencies of existing Automation & Control equipment.
- Participate in Hazardous Operations (HAZOP), P&ID reviews, SIL assessment and verifications, Risk assessment.
- Initiate and Follow-up Procurement of control & automation equipment
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity, trust and adherence to the company HSSE requirements.
- Conduct site surveys, provide technical outcome and generate investigation report related to automation discipline
- Provide direction and guidance on all Automation and Controls engineering technical queries raised by either internal or external parties
- Engineering degree of Automation & Control / Informatique Industrielle / Instrumentation from recognised Engineering School.
- 5 Years Experience in Automation & Control / Instrumentation Engineering in oil and gas, power, or petrochemical process industries
- Practical knowledge of control, safety and instruments systems and Functional Safety Technical Standards and Codes.
- Hands-on and in-depth knowledge of international standards and codes in automation system (ESD/DCS/PLC/SCADA)
- Good knowledge of process control, alarm management
- Offshore experience
