وفي عيد ميلادها الـ115 الذي احتفلت به في أغسطس، تلقت رسالة تهنئة من الملك تشارلز الثالث، وقالت كايترهام في تلك المناسبة عن السر الكامن وراء طول عمرها 'أنا لا أختلف مع أحد إطلاقا.. أستمع وأفعل ما أريد'.

ورأت في حديث لصحيفة 'سالزبوري جورنال' أن من الضروري 'اغتنام كل فرصة'، و'أن يكون لدينا موقف إيجابي في التفكير وأن نستهلك كل شيء باعتدال'.
