تبدأ الظاهرة الساعة 5 صباحًا وتستمر حتى الساعة 6 مساء على الجبيل والخبر والدمام والقطيف ورأس تنورة والأحساء والعديد وبقيق والخفجي والنعيرية وحفر الباطن وثرية العليا.

وتتمثل التأثيرات المصاحبة في رياح نشطة، وشبه انعدام في مدى الرؤية الأفقية (1- 3) كيلومترات.
