تواصلت الجمعة في نيروبي أعمال المنتدى الإقليمي الثالث لأصحاب المصلحة المبتكرين في حوض النيل الشرقي، 'ENTRO'

حيث شهد اليوم الثالث جلسة افتتاحية استعرضت ملخص فعاليات اليوم الثاني، مع التركيز على مجهودات المجموعات المشاركة في الإجابة على أسئلة تحديات المناخ التي تواجه دول الحوض.

وتضمنت الفعاليات جلسة متخصصة حول 'حل النزاعات' قدمها السيد فقهاميد نيغاش، وناقش خلالها المشاركون سبل تعزيز التعاون الإقليمي وتجاوز الخلافات المتعلقة بإدارة الموارد المائية. كما تم تقديم عرض شامل حول الخطة الاستراتيجية لمبادرة حوض النيل الشرقي للفترة 2022-2027، ألقاه السيد دريبه إنسيني، تلاه نقاش موسع حول آليات تنفيذ الخطة وتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة في المنطقة.

وفي الفترة المسائية، ألقى البروفيسور سيف الدين حمد عبد الله حمد من السودان عرضًا حول 'دبلوماسية المياه الدولية'، سلط الضوء فيه على أهمية الحوار والتفاهم بين دول الحوض لضمان الاستخدام العادل والمنصف لموارد المياه المشتركة. واختتم اليوم بتقييم عام لأداء المنتدى وكلمة ختامية لرئيس ENSAPT، أكد فيها أهمية استمرار الحوار وتبادل الخبرات بين جميع الأطراف المعنية.

يذكر أن المنتدى يهدف إلى تعزيز التعاون الإقليمي وتطوير حلول مبتكرة لمواجهة التحديات البيئية والمناخية التي تواجه دول حوض النيل الشرقي.

Nairobi – Continuation of the Third Regional Forum for Innovative Stakeholders in the Eastern Nile Basin

The third regional forum for innovative stakeholders in the Eastern Nile Basin, 'ENTRO', continued today in Nairobi.

The third day featured an opening session that reviewed the highlights of the second day’s activities, focusing on the efforts of the participating groups in responding to climate challenges facing the basin countries.

The activities included a specialized session on 'Conflict Resolution' presented by Mr. Fehamid Negash, during which participants discussed ways to enhance regional cooperation and overcome disputes related to water resource management. A comprehensive presentation on the strategic plan of the Eastern Nile Basin Initiative for the period 2022–2027 was also delivered by Mr. Diribe Enssine, followed by an extensive discussion on the mechanisms for implementing the plan and achieving sustainable development goals in the region.

In the evening session, Professor Saif Eldin Hamad Abdallah Hamad from Sudan delivered a presentation on 'International Water Diplomacy,' highlighting the importance of dialogue and understanding among the basin countries to ensure the fair and equitable use of shared water resources. The day concluded with a general evaluation of the forum’s performance and a closing speech by the ENSAPT Chair, emphasizing the importance of continuing dialogue and exchanging expertise among all concerned parties.

It is worth noting that the forum aims to enhance regional cooperation and develop innovative solutions to address the environmental and climate challenges facing the Eastern Nile Basin countries.
