Since then, American engagement has been a stabilizing factor in a region often marked by conflict.Jordan has also played a consistent and constructive role in promoting peace. Security partnerships and humanitarian support have helped maintain balance, protect civilians, and assist refugees.I am reminded of the late Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who after a victory in the 1973 Yom Kippur War told the French Defense Minister, Yes, thank you, but what is next? This illustrates that military victories alone cannot solve deep-rooted conflicts. Dialogue and long-term strategies are essential.A fair and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict remains central to regional stability, while peace in Syria is critical to reducing extremism and humanitarian suffering. Expanding cooperation between Israel and Arab states, including Palestinians, offers a path toward long-term stability.Extremism thrives in conditions of poverty, conflict, and hopelessness. Investment in education, economic development, and cultural dialogue is vital to prevent radicalization and foster enduring peace. Humanitarian support is not only a moral responsibility but also a strategic necessity, preventing crises from spilling across borders.Given the U.S.’s historical role and continued capacity to influence positive outcomes, we are eager to hear your perspective on how America can continue to promote dialogue, security, and development in the Middle East, and what practical steps you would prioritize if given the opportunity.
